I had an amazing time in Newfoundland a couple of weeks ago touring around the island for some whale watching, iceburg spotting, and of course treasure hunting. Today, I want to share with you one of my favourite shops in St. John’s: Home on Water Street.
If potential homeowners make up their mind within seconds walking into a house, then I know Home on Water Street is my kind of store when we said hello! The store is decorated meticulously with a chic Martha Stewart meets Hamptons vibe. The faux blooms are every bit as beautiful as the real ones, the white painted furniture pieces are fresh against a soft silver sage backdrop, and the natural wood accents offer just the right dosage of character and charm.
I don’t know about you but when I am by the ocean, my heart longs for everything nautical. This pair of vases with a wave motif reminds the stunning wallpaper by Cole & Son, the bird salt & pepper set is sleek and sophisticated, the whale place card holders, the fish inlayed cutting board, and the storybook-like fish bowls & plates are whimsical and so much fun!
The shop also has a skin care, grooming section for guys, and I am looking forward to try out some of these products!
Home on Water Street also has a fabulous collection of stationary items, essentials for mom-to-be and toddlers, along with beautiful textile table linens for your next dinner party. When you are in St. John’s next time, you have got to check the store out in person!
