lumas art gallery now open in toronto

LUMAS, a Berlin-born photography gallery, has opened its second set of Canadian doors in Toronto’s well known Yorkville area. After opening in Vancouver back in February of this year (to an overwhelmingly positive response), the Toronto location was an obvious next step. As a gallery that offers a variety of contemporary art at an accessible price, LUMAS is exactly what was needed to bring a fresh clientele to the established Yorkville hood. Any art lovers on the hunt for their next great piece should definitely check out LUMAS’ new pad. Read on to take a peak inside their showroom.

The “Collectors Home” concept is key to the Toronto location. Clients and visitors of the showroom can stroll around and experience how the art looks in a real life setting, not just on boring bare walls!

Currently on display are pieces from the talented actor and photographer Patrick J. Adams. Adams’ series called ‘Choosing Sides’ will be on display until October 4th but will continue to be a part of the LUMAS portfolio. More information on the whole LUMAS collection can be found on their website

Over 1,800 works are available with editions ranging between 75-150. Some pieces start as low as $100! Check out these great miniatures. Love how the pieces here are framed differently and of varying sizes and style, creating the perfect gallery wall.

Erin Lang, Managing Director of LUMAS Canada, loves how LUMAS caters to a wide range of customers with different tastes and style. “LUMAS does not compete against galleries, if anything, it’s helping cultivate the next generation of collectors and enthusiasts by making art more approachable and accessible”. I couldn’t agree more!

LUMAS is located at 159 Yorkville Avenue, open Monday-Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 12-5.
