Are you in the market for exceptional quality yet affordable furnishings that are meticulously handcrafted right here in Toronto? Well you have come to the right place and thanks to “Maker” of Interior Design Show, I am sharing with you my favorite local artisans today.
Inspired by the traditional Shaker (known for its honesty, utility, and simplicity in design), Peter followed the same guiding principles when creating Madison. The hand woven Danish Cord seat, the solid oak frame, and the subtle brass pegs detail, I am trying hard to find room for a pair in my own home!
Another statement chair I fell hard for is Edwin. I would love them as end chairs in the dining room and just check out the brass peg detail on each of the spindles! The deep seat and the curve back make Edwin every bit as comfortable as it is beautiful.
You all know I love gallery wall, so imagine my excitement when I saw a whole wall full of whimsical prints by Alanna (I am lucky to own 3 of the 5 pieces showcased at IDS16)! These rose quartz paneled doors also hit home run at the show. I initially thought there were vintage and was I ever wrong! These doors are handcrafted by Rock of 1925 Woodbench and so is this stunning table!
Simple, serene, and a shot of playfulness, I think this collaboration is a match made in heaven!
Passionate about superb craftsmanship and with a mission to pursue well built furniture in its purest form, Kroft + Co is constantly refining its collection to ensure it’s of exceptional quality and timeless in design so that they can be cherished for a generation or two.
Did you go to the Interior Design Show? I would love to hear what caught your eyes!
